Welcome to the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Licensing Service!


This licensing service allows you to buy or renew an Outdoors Card, purchases licences, enter big game draws, view draw results and submit your hunter reports using your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Here are tips to get you started using this web site. Please note that the below screenshots contain mock-up information and are meant to provide visual training on how to use the licensing service website. 

  • First, create an online account. (Simply having an Outdoors Card does not mean you have an online account.) To create your account, select any of the green buttons.

  • Read and accept the privacy notification. (You will do this every time you use the service.) Select "Don't have an account? Create one"

  • Do you have an Outdoors Card? If "no" you will need to purchase one to successfully create your account (and to buy licences).

  • Continue by filling in the requested information. You will be asked to provide a valid email address. Each person who creates an account must have their own email address (i.e., not shared with any other Outdoors Card holder).
  • Once you have created your online account (and bought an Outdoors Card if you've never had one before), you are able to make licence purchases. In the future, having an account will also allow hunters to enter big game draws, view draw results and submit hunter reports.

Now is a good time to familiarize yourself with the content at the top right of the screen:

My Account takes you to the personal information you provided. For example, use this link if you have to change your address or password.

My Active Licences shows you the products you have purchased, and the big game draws you have entered. You can download, print or email your list of active licences (called a "licence summary") from this page.


Sales and Draws presents you with the products available for sale according to your residency status and accreditation. Use the green "select" buttons to add products to your shopping cart. If a "select" button is grey, a question mark icon will appear beside the button to provide more information. A grey "select" button may indicate:

  • your Outdoors Card has expired (add one to your cart and then select products), or,
  • you may already possess the item (check My Active Licences), or,
  • you do not have the credentials or pre-requisites necessary (for example, you may have tried to buy a fishing licence without first buying an Outdoors Card).

If you select a product you do not wish to purchase, click on the trash can icon to remove that product from your shopping cart.

Shopping Cart takes you to a list of the products you have selected while shopping on the site. You may check out and pay for your items from this page using Visa or Mastercard. This page also offers you an opportunity to update your personal information if anything has changed since you created your online account. It is a good practice to review your personal information in case any updates are needed.

Once you have completed your transaction, you can save your documents to your smartphone or print them. Before you print your licence summary and/or any tag(s) that come with your purchase we recommend that you confirm your printer is fully operational and has paper loaded. This step is particularly important before you print your tag. You will have only one opportunity to print your tag. The licence summary and receipt, however, can be printed as many times as you wish from your home printer.

Tips to help you enter a big game draw 

Applying to a big game draw is as easy as adding a product to your shopping cart.  Simply follow the prompts on screen - choose to apply as an individual or as a group.

  • If you are applying as a group, choose a group leader. The first hunter in the group to apply to the draw becomes the group leader and must share the group number with the other hunters in the group. 
  • If you are the group leader, you will select the button “create new group or enter as an individual”.  The group number will be listed on your sales receipt and must be shared with your group members.
  • If you are a group member, you will apply to the draw by entering the group number and selecting the button “verify group number”. 

  • As the group leader or individual you choose where to hunt by selecting your preferred hunt code (a second choice is optional).
  • Be sure to click, add to cart before you check out your shopping cart.
  • Draw entry details, including the group number, your hunter number and hunt choice(s) are listed on the Sales Receipt only.

  • This screen will display the WMU choice 1 and 2 for a Draw Entry.
  • The sales receipt will display your group number and confirmation of entering the draw.  It’s important to share this number with your intended group members, so they can join your group.
